Need for Financial Planning Advice Boosted by Lockdown

As we emerge from global lockdown into a world of uncertainty and change, we’re finding that people are thinking about their financial futures in a new way. Whether it’s making sure that their assets are protected, building savings or pension plans, or contemplating a complete change of direction, the need for sound, impartial financial advice has never been greater.

The largest and most widely respected professional body for the securities and investment profession in the UK is the CISI (The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment), whose purpose is 'to set standards of professional excellence and integrity for securities, investment, wealth and financial planning professionals, providing qualifications and promoting the highest level of competence to our members, individuals and firms'.

The CISI’s Accredited Financial Planning Firm (AFPF) accolade is a mark that recognises individual firms as among the most trusted financial planning firms in the UK. As a symbol of quality assurance, Chesterton House Financial Planning is proud to have qualified as an AFPF for several years now and serves as a demonstration of the work we have done, and continue to develop, to ensure that clients receive the best service possible. Accreditation means that firms have had to demonstrate a high level of professional competence, adherence to financial planning principles, and a client-centred ethos at the heart of their activities. You can find out more about the AFPF and what it means here.

The CISI is running a campaign between 24th August and 10th September to highlight the value of getting advice from an authorised and trusted adviser, particularly in light of some of the unexpected changes that the pandemic has brought about – both in circumstances and in enlightened attitudes to finances. The campaign is there to raise awareness about the benefits of creating a financial plan: long term security, control over your situation and peace of mind that you’ve got it covered, as well as the invaluable input of a professional Financial Planner who is able to help you to clarify financial goals and objectives, decide on priorities, and work with you to help make your plans come to fruition.

If you would like to take the first step towards reviewing your finances and making a secure plan for the future get in touch with us today to arrange an initial conversation with one of our qualified Financial Planners.
