We're Taking Part In UK Financial Planning Week

The annual UK Financial Planning Week is in two weeks time and is all about raising awareness of how financial planning can change your life and help you achieve your goals. Here's how we're taking part, and how you can too.

Can you imagine not having to worry about money? Can you imagine having it planned out so that you know that your current and future financial goals will be met? So that you can live your life knowing that your money is working hard to benefit you, without you having to put so much effort in to manage it?

Financial planning does exactly that. It's about figuring out what you want from life, and making sure your finances can get you there, as well as planning for the important things like investing for your future, reducing debt, retirement planning and more.

That's why we are delighted to be supporting the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment’s (CISI) Financial Planning Week and will be holding free, one hour consultations which can be booked in advance, and during the week commencing 5th October, via our website at www.chestertonhouse.co.uk/fpw or by calling 01509 610472.

Financial Planning Week is an event that takes place every year to raise awareness of the importance of financial planning. This year's event will fall between the 5 -11th October 2020, with firms across the UK taking part in a variety of ways. Last year’s Financial Planning Week was a huge success with over 120 offices offering free consultation surgeries in person, on the phone or via video call.

This event is a chance for us to contribute to our community and help raise awareness of the importance of financial planning. Here's how we'll be taking part.

Free Financial Planning Meetings

We'll be offering free, one-hour financial planning consultations for the rest of October, designed to deliver help and guidance from a personal finance professional. You don't

need to be an existing client, and there's no obligation as a result of taking up a consultation with us. We'll aim to help you to create a workable plan to achieve your goals, and give you some valuable tips and pointers to get the most from your finances.

Free Webinar On The Seven Stages Of Money Maturity

Andy Jervis, our Chairman and an experienced Certified Financial Planner, will be delivering a webinar on "A Framework for Financial Freedom" on Wednesday, 7th October at 11.00 am. Andy will describe some of the people who have influenced his financial planning career, with particular reference to the work of George Kinder and his renowned book, "The Seven Stages of Money Maturity".

Andy, like George, believes passionately that sound financial planning and personal freedom are intertwined, and that the development of great money skills is integral to a balanced and successful life. Andy will explain the Seven Stages in detail, and offer lots of tips, anecdotes and ideas about how to use this powerful framework to build your own Financial Freedom Plan.
