Summer is a time for relaxation, laughter, and good food, and what better way to celebrate the warmth of June and August evenings than with a sizzling barbecue? We hosted two BBQ events this summer that not only brought joy and delicious food but also made a meaningful impact on our community.
The first of our BBQ events kicked off in June, and the warm Quorn weather couldn't have been more perfect. The picturesque gardens of The Manor House served as the backdrop for an evening filled with laughter, music, and the aroma of sizzling BBQ delights. Guests arrived in high spirits, and the turnout was nothing short of amazing.
In August, we returned for a second round of summer fun, and it was just as memorable. The sun-drenched evening allowed us to enjoy the charming outdoor space once again, with the beautiful indoor space for us to retreat to as the evening chilled.
It was heartwarming to see familiar faces and new friends gathering to share in the festivities. The atmosphere was convivial with conversations, laughter, and the warmth of new and renewed friendships. As the sun set, these gatherings reminded us of the importance and strength of our client community that has built over the years, something that has been important to us in delivering our mission to help you to live a great life.
A special mention must be made of The Gershwin Gang, the incredible band that entertained us throughout the evening. Their music had everyone tapping their feet, adding to the festive spirit of the evening.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Matt and the other members of The Gershwin Gang for their fantastic music, to Sian and the team at The Manor House at Quorn for providing the beautiful setting, and to Sue for her exquisite flower arrangements that added a touch of elegance to our tables.
Cheers to Giving Back
One of the highlights of our summer BBQs was the opportunity to raise funds for The Chesterton House Foundation. This charitable endeavour aims to support local causes through grant applications, touching the lives of those in need in our community. Thanks to the incredible support from our attendees, we raised over £600, which will be instrumental in making a positive impact where it's needed most.
