Richard Urwin is not only a director of Chesterton House, he's also an accomplished ice climber. And there's no better place for practising his art than Rjukan in Norway, one of the centres for this exhilarating sport.
Rjukan is fast becoming the mecca for winter climbing. With over 140 frozen waterfalls, it is one of the few places you can almost guarantee fantastic ice climbing from early December - end of April. And if you're not into ice climbing or skiing, the summer months are a great time to get in touch with the great outdoors, with some great walks and activities.
